Summary & Duties
Responsible for applying broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in project and team management to Plan, Execute and Delivery business critical projects.
The Project Manager is expected to complete difficult and complex assignments with limited direction and has the latitude to make decisions and recommendations regarding assigned projects.
The Project Manager will have wide accountability to drive the performance of cross functional teams involved in the planning and delivery of projects.
Leads project planning, resourcing / staffing, progress reporting, people management, and troubleshooting for assigned projects.
Leads business-process analysis and process-improvement activities as part of every project when BA resources are not available
Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices.
Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
The Project Manager proactively monitors and manages execution of deliverables through all program / project phases.
Leading multiple simultaneous cross-functional programs from inception through to deployment
Interacting with a variety of business and IT stakeholders as a peer and trusted advisor
Leading business-process analysis and process-improvement activities as part of every project when BA resources are not available
Contributing to improvements in project management processes and operating mechanisms
Preparing, analyzing, and presenting requirements, design mockups and project dashboard
Experience & Skills & Technology
10+ years with a background in consulting, business analysis and process design. Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
Work on new software implementations, infrastructure efforts such as a server refresh, process reengineering and enhancements to current software already in production.
Acts as Project Manager on assigned project efforts in accordance with the Firm's project management methodology.
Leads project meetings, providing timely minutes and creating proper work breakdown structures (WBS) on which to execute; manages the work efforts outside of meetings.
Actively utilizes Firm's Eclipse PM system to timeline/hold WBS, issues/risks, financials and status message on a daily/standard basis to reflect current state as real time as possible.
Assigns and tracks resources by and across project/ project efforts in conjunction with functional managers.
Escalates known issues/risks to project success to manager as appropriate when at an impasse where time, cost or resources are affected.
Microsoft Project, Office, Outlook, Document Management System (DMS)
Proficiency with Visio diagrams and decision trees
Eclipse PM Software a plus; JIRA issue management software a plus
Enterprise Management Systems; Financial, Human Resources, Time Tracking, and Billing
Experience with PeopleSoft a plus
